Norwegian producer Todd Terje has been a very naughty boy. His
new EP, released on Smalltown Supersound, showcases a penchant for bouncy, funky, good-time disco. The EP was apparently created on the Arp 2600 synthesiser, which evokes the disco vibes of Giorgio Moroder, as much in sound as in arrangement. 'Inspector Norse' builds around a bumping bass line, reaching peaks that remind me of Ben Butler and Mousepad's 'Electric Bamber-boo', if not as intensely insane. 'Swing Star (Part 1)' reveals krauty tropes, with a motorik beat and intertwining kosmische synths. An EP brimming with fun and booty-shaking.
